Assumption Nutrition Centre is a registered NPO located in the Joza location in Grahamstown. We are grass root organization, which put the dignity of a human being first and we believe that every person has the capacity to improve their lives.

Poverty is prevalent in the Joza location because of high levels of unemployment. This affects the children of this area greatly. The children suffer from malnutrition because luck of proper food that they need in their daily lives.

The Assumption Nutrition Centre was opened 24 years ago by the Missionary Sisters of the Assumption, with the purpose of helping the children in jeopardy to overcome their situation to restore children dignity and avoid hand out. The children are the future of tomorrow and helping them, is to build a great society for tomorrow. We believe that, it is through these children that the cycle of poverty can be broken.
